This training reviews Dr. Gottman's five decades of research on what makes marriages succeed or fail and teaches a therapy that helps troubled marriages. You'll gain a wealth of information about couples dynamics, marital assessment, couples exercises, and therapeutic interventions—all materials you can use immediately in your private practice.  This is official Gottman Institute certified training.

• Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1 Training Certificate of Completion from The Gottman Institute.  You will receive this upon successful completion of the online quiz.

Why Attend a live event?

Attending live, in-person training offers counsellors a powerful opportunity to grow both professionally and personally. Unlike self-paced learning, face-to-face workshops bring the material to life — concepts move beyond theory as participants engage in real-time demonstrations, role plays, discussion, and experiential exercises. This immersive environment deepens understanding, builds confidence, and helps practitioners truly embody the tools they are learning.

Live training also creates invaluable space to share best practice ideas with fellow professionals. Counselling can often feel like solitary work; spending dedicated time with peers fosters connection, collaboration, and mutual support. What Is The Cost?

For the 2-day workshop, which includes materials and up to 16 hours of presentation and expert guidance from Certified Gottman Therapists, the cost is £485 per person. Early Bird bookings are before 24 June and the cost is £425. We will provide tea/coffee throughout both days.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel before 1 August 2026, you’ll receive a refund minus a £50 processing fee. However, if you cancel after this deadline, your registration will turn into a credit you can use for a future workshop within the next 6 months. This may be a live workshop or an online workshop.

Travelling from Heathrow Airport

The distance from London Heathrow Airport is approximately 10 miles. Time taken to travel by car/taxi will depend on the time of day. Peak rush hour which is 7am-9am and 3pm-6pm.

Train: The train journey from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to Windsor & Eton involves a change at Slough. The average travel time is 49 minutes and the starting price is £14.30. 

Travelling from Central London

Train: The train journey from central London is via Paddington Station On average, trains depart from London Paddington to Windsor & Eton Central almost every 20 minutes and travel time is 35 minutes.
